Environmental Foundation Ltd (EFL) established in 1981, is one of Sri Lanka’s oldest public interest organizations working in environmental conservation and protection and a recipient of the “Excellent Environmental Service Award” of Sri Lanka in 2005. It is a non profit making institution governed by an honorary Board of Directors. Working within a legal and scientific framework, EFL carries out scientific investigation of environmental degradation, provides scientific data, file legal action to support aggrieved communities and disseminates conservation related information among the general public. EFL also partners with international & local organizations to implement projects that further our goals of environmental conservation and healthy lifestyles.

Key tasks:
  • carry out scientific investigations and field visits to address environmental issues/ complaints
  • provide technical/ logistical support on activities/ projects carried out by the organization
  • carry out research for reports and publications
  • support in preparation of scientific and public awareness materials
  • support other activities of the organization
Qualifications & experience:
  1. bachelor’s degree in environmental science or similar discipline with at least 1yr of work experience in related field
  2. work experience in an environmental organization (NGO/ government) would be an advantage
Above position require candidates that have good communication and computer skills.
