General Position
Exetel Communication (Pvt) Ltd is looking for TWO database programmers to work on a New Software Development Project to be developed and commissioned to an Australian company and also to work on the database systems used by Exetel Australia Pty Ltd.
You will work with the team of developers in Colombo offices and with other talented developers in Australia to continue the development of innovative and world leading automated systems and software.
Very Strictly, we advise for candidates who don’t have the required qualification and experience not to apply as it will also be a disqualification for any future opportunities you may have.
Academic Requirements
· You MUST have a degree in IT, majoring in programming, from a Sri Lankan university.
· Excellent written and spoken English language skills.
Previous Experience
· At least three years working in a similar position (NOT including project experience as a student). Candidates without experience will NOT be considered as this is a senior programmers position. The comany will not offer training in programming or software development.
Essential Skills
· Strong object oriented PHP experience
· Solid MySQL skills/experience
· A sound understanding of database structure and design
· Strong HTML, CSS, JAVA and JavaScript Skills
· Linux/Unix, Apache, SSL
Desirable Skills
A working knowledge of:
· AJAX
· SOAP
· Perl
· Postgres SQL
Remuneration
Exetel pay very well and your starting remuneration will depend on your level of academic achievement and your demonstrable skills and work experience to date but will not be less than your current remuneration plus 50%.
